i won’t touch a person with dreadlocks.
hell if i can help it, i won’t sit next to them.
shit’s repulsive and unsanitary.
Funny, I think the same thing about judgmental people who believe idiotic urban legends~
True story: there are also people who don’t sit next to black people on the bus because they’re afraid that their blackness is somehow going to rub off on them. Dirt is brown so black people must be dirty right? (This was something that was almost universally “fine” for white people to think in the days of enforced segregation, even.)
Sorry, that’s not how the world works, sister.
Don’t ever dislike someone for a hairstyle. Unless maybe someone has “I LOVE KILLING ASIANS” shaved into their head.
I maintain my hair way more now that I have dreadlocks. Before I’d just wash it and be on my way. Now there’s washing every day and frequently a bit of touch-ups and styling. Everyone who lives in the regular, organized world washes their hair and body. If they don’t, it’d be way more obvious in ways other than their hair. Like the mold falling off of their clothes, or something.
reminds me of a certain someone Urbendisaster and i met on the bus one night after she got off work… LOL
